Interesting Software

Very basic but efficient. Missing functions : - Show up what chords playing for beginner. - Show the rhythm • Very important for improving : - Possibility to have multi key trakcs to train on mixing scales. - Possibility to create our own trakcs and set up the chords. Import/Export fully setted up track. Thats how you create a community… :)

i like this...

…its like having a good friend who plays pretty good rhythm guitar along with a drum machine… good points btw This good friend, well - hes always ready to jam, has a few styles up his sleeve, knows more keys than some guitar players and hangs out with you. He gives you space and supports you anywhere any time, and he doesnt drink your beer or hit on your babe. Value value how do they do it… volume volume turn up the volume. Bonus: when youre in the kitchen the boys will let you wail - or sail

Great little app to help budding soloist learn to freestyle. Good graphics and great illustration of both major and minor pentatonic scales in all natural keys. But be careful, once you starting using it you cant stop. You will be asking yourself, "Where did two and a half hours go?"

fixed a good thing to make it better...

prompt fixation of tunage issue has blossomed app into ionosphere of practical training. bestest everest! thank you 9buzz for on the ball-ness.

Awesome App! — Could use some updates…

I purchased this app for my iPad and iMac, so I could improve my scales and modes on the guitar, and it has been very helpful! The user interface is easy to understand and a breeze to navigate, making practice time very rewarding. Well worth the money spent! *A few improvments would make it even beter though, such as: Tempo control, Alternate Chord Rythms, More Styles & Scales

Comments are Very Persuasive

Way too advanced for this guy.. with the $14.99 price tag you would think that there would be atleast a chord chart..!! lol..!! Nothing, none, nada…. in order to make use of this tool you need to first - decide which key(s) most songs you like to play are recorded in….. in the music industry, that is… and then work on that musical scale until you have it down SOLID..!! I was hoping that there would be at least some…… modicum….. of direction… but it’s not like that. It assumes that you have mastered this skill years ago..!! The chord progresions include numerous names, but not one diagram.. chords such as Gbm7, NEXT DOOZY Abm7b5, and so on and so on…… hahaha…!! WTF? At least include the option to peek at the chord fingering..!!??!!?? Otherwise learing ALL… THeSE OBSCURE chords, with NO fingering diagram, NO Tablature, will slow you down to a crawl….!! So go ahead and buy, based on these too good to be true, or as I would call them ‘well marketed, well placed - ‘Well, FAKE REVIEWS, in all likelihood’ but when you find out just how basic the interface is, how this App. lacks many conveniences, many features, it will be too late to UNDO..! PLEASE PLEASE REMEMBER there is ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS you will NEVER….. EVER….. in a million years GET A single penny RETURNeD….! I very much regreat forking out good money to such a poor idea, especially when they are hyped like this one is. The claims in the ‘Reviews are WilDLY PoSITIVE… that should be the first clue…!! Note to self, you don’t like wasting time thought and effort dissing stuff, so, Be smart, buy an App. that is confident enough to give you a basic version FREE and then, only then IF IT’S a good fit, happily buy the FULL version… and remeber to leave a helpful, positive (as you can be) review and don’t be patronizing… reviews should Help the comunity get to playing beautiful music….!!

You must be joking!!

This may be the biggest waste of money in the app store. If anyone figures out how this can be worth $9.99 please let me know. They really need to figure a way to let a person interested in an app test it out before purchasing. This app does nothing but play a few backup tracks and demonstrate, in a confusing manner, where to place your fingers to attempt to play some lead into the backing tracks. The quote in the advertisement for this app by somebody named Orlando C. (a U.S. Customer) reads as follows, "I dont think anything else has ever improved my playing like this app has." Well, maybe Orlando improved his playing by purchasing this app, attempting to use it, finding out he had wasted his money and the app is so bad that he was compelled to practice the correct way and not use hyped up, overstated apps like this one. I really do feel like I just gave $9.99 of my money to somebody and got absolutely NOTHING in return. I really hope my review helps others avoid wasting money like I have. The developers of this app must be laughing all the way to the bank.

Over priced but great product- Not just for begginers.

Ive been playing guitar for around 8 years now, so I know my way around the neck. When I first started playing, my dad taught me how to play all the scales, and together we would switch off improving solos. When I first brought up the app, I was disappointed. It seemed to be meant for begginers, or someone who didnt know scales. But as I kept playing with it, I realized that it is a great tool. It plays chord progressions in all major and minor keys in the styles of acoustic blues, humbucker blues, jazz, reggae, and rock. Theres also a diagram showing all the notes, the root notes, and the blues notes. This app will help you learn the fingerings, and help you practice in different styles to improve yourslef as an overall guitarist. Yes, it is kinda expensive, but Ive gotten a lot of use out of it and have added it to my regular practice schedule. I also had a gift card at the time, so that helped my decision. I def recomend this app!

amazing app

Ive been playing lead guitar for a while now and this app has helped me improve and refine my skills I recommend this app for the guitar player looking to start playing lead or the guitar player whose been playing his whole life all around great app no problems with it

More than just Penatonic for 5 stars

This app is fantastic. Just press play and follow the charts. The backing tracks are interesting and well recorded, feels like youre playing with a professional band! The only thing Id like to see in an update is the ability to choose more than just penatonic scales!

Coiuld be much better

There is only one track for each scale, Gets old fast…. An update with more tracks would be great..

Name the notes on the fret

can you please add the names of the notes , inside the black circle on the fret when you are showing the scales.

Excellent practice tool...

I was looking to learn scales and that is exactly what this app is designed to do. This app has actually got me practicing. Thanks!!

Lots of fun

This is great for those of us still locked into the pentatonic scales….I am waiting for another version that we can use to practice modes…that would be the ultimate and Id pay alot for that!!!! But this is a great start ;)

Perfect

I bought this when I was startting soloing and its a great way to get started. It teaches you 2 scales: Major and Minor penatonic with blues notes that you can use. It gives you these scales in every key all down the guitar neck. It gives you backing music along with the scales: you can chose between Acustic blues, Humbucker blues, Jazz, Rock, or reggae. you get backing music for the major and minor form in every key. This does a great Job of displaying the various positions the scale can be played on and with further study you and jump from position to position as you please. play around with the scale listen to the rythem and some phrasing then practice soloing and improvising. If you are a more inermidet to advanced player there is not a whole lot for you but if you dont know the platonic scales all the way down the neck or arent that experienced in soloing buy it now.

Fanstastic app!!!

I saw the this app and wonder if the software worked as well as people said. I got a chance to fire it up and was very impressed on the set up. It is great for beginners to experienced players. It helps prevent guitarist getting stuck in “the box” and great for just practicing chords and different rhythm. I love house it should you the chord progression and several different scales within the major and minor keys. I your looking for an app to keep your fingers motorskills up this is the app! Great job and looking forward to new updates.

Good Stuff

This app is great. I use it at work on my lunch break or in between renders. Finally got some new tracks. Thanks for that. Great app though and worth the money. Thanks.

I like Jam Tracks because of it’s simplicity…

Very helpful… Although, it could use a little more functionality. Chord progressions and scale patterns cant to be viewed at the same time. It’s important to understand the best note choices(chord tones) in relation to the chords. As opposed to just running through scales tones (other than the Root & b5 or Blues note). I do like the Modal tracks…! Other then that… its a great app!

Need additional tracks.

The tracks available are OK but there are not that many and a lot of them are a little slow. Would be nice to be able to download additional tracks and to be able to vary the temp of the exsisting tracks. There are easier wys to play lead than to memorize all of these scales. In relaity you nee just two, 1st and 5th and be able to move between them. Then just pick a key. Easy.

Don’t buy it!

1) I don’t know of any guitarist who practices with the fingerboard displayed verticaly-all positions in sections. 2) Take the huge logo out and put the whole fingerboard there horizontally! Maybe mark positions on that. 3) No notes on the fingerboard! How hard would that be to put a circle with the note inside? They show the root with color! 4) Where am I in the song? No song position markers? I am not a trained musician and trying to follow a jazz progression while working on a leed is hard enough. They give you the chords, but they let you figure out which one is playing. 5) It would be nice to have the arpeggios highlighted for each chord as it was playing. 6) Why can’t I change the size of the app and make it bigger? I download backtracks from youtube, print out the scale for that song and BINGO. Some backtracks show the chords as it is playing and show you the next chord also.
