I bought this when I was startting soloing and its a great way to get started.

It teaches you 2 scales:
Major and Minor penatonic with blues notes that you can use. It gives you these scales in every key all down the guitar neck.
It gives you backing music along with the scales:
you can chose between Acustic blues, Humbucker blues, Jazz, Rock, or reggae. you get backing music for the major and minor form in every key.

This does a great Job of displaying the various positions the scale can be played on and with further study you and jump from position to position as you please. play around with the scale listen to the rythem and some phrasing then practice soloing and improvising.

If you are a more inermidet to advanced player there is not a whole lot for you but if you dont know the platonic scales all the way down the neck or arent that experienced in soloing buy it now.
